Adware is dangerous for your system, so regular scanning is necessary to remove adware programs. It would be better if use an anti adware specific program to remove the adware from your system. Do not depend entirely on your anti virus software to remove the adware as they may not be much effective in removing these malicious content. So better go for a good anti adware program such as Adware Bot which can remove the adware content in an effective manner.
Make sure that regular scanning is done by that software. After finishing the installation of the anti adware program, check for updates. In most of the adware blockers there will be an update button. By clicking on this update button the necessary files required for the anti adware program will be retrieved from the server. Thus latest information regarding the new adware programs can be obtained. Once the update process is over, scan the entire system for adware.
Before starting the scanning process, close all other programs and exit the browser. Also it is better to disconnect the internet when the scanning process is going on. For scanning there will be a scan button provided in the software program. Just click on that and select all the files and folders in your computer for scanning. If any adware program is found then it will be reported to you along with the necessary options to neutralise it. The options include deleting the adware or blocking the adware. The user can choose any one of the options according to his choice. In most of the adware programs there will be another button called ‘immunize’. The ‘immunize’ button can be used for protecting the system from the same adware in the future. So, click the immunize button after the completion of the scanning process so that your system can be saved for future threats.
Once you complete the scanning process, restart your computer. Do another scan for adware programs, so that you can make sure that your system gets free from adware completely. If the adware cleaner program shows more adware at that time then restart your computer once again and repeat this process until all the adware gets removed. Also do the scanning in safe mode also. This has to be done because there is a chance that the adware may be active in the background, trying to hide from the scanning process going on.
Once all the adware are removed, you can connect it to the internet and continue with your browsing. In the meantime make sure that your Adware Removal Software is turned on while browsing so that further attack can be detected and effectively neutralised. So, adware can be detected only through proper scanning and updating the database of the anti adware program is essential.
