A body cleanse can be a great way to get rid of toxins in your system and help you feel refreshed and re-energized. Every day we ingest or inhale a small amount of toxins from our food or the environment and over time these will build up and can cause problems as the body has difficulty getting rid of the toxins. A build up of toxins can then lead to several serious health issues such as GERD, Heart disease, fatigue, high cholesterol, infections, eczema and arthritis to name a few.

A natural body cleanse is a great way to eliminate the toxins in your system and you will need to make some changes when doing a cleanse. However these changes are not permanent. If you are looking to improve your health though, you should take a few steps of the natural cleanse process and incorporate them into your daily life.

It is not necessary to completely change your living and eating habits for two weeks to cleanse the body. You can start by making some small changes that will make a big difference. The main types of foods to avoid when cleansing are those that contain artificial ingredients, so start reading those product ingredient lists in the store. All natural products such as fruits and vegetables should be the main focus of your diet.

Water is also needed to flush the toxins from your system and the vast majority of people do not drink enough water during the day. When cleansing you need at least six bottles of natural water a day. Vitamin waters and flavored waters should not be drunk. This can take some work particularly if you are not used to drinking so much.

You want to eat fruits and vegetables for the first week of your cleanse as these products are all natural and contain a lot of fiber which flushees out and binds toxins. The denser the fruit or vegetable the more full you will feel and the better it is for you. Breakfast should consist of plenty of fruit and then eat raw vegetables and fruits for the rest of the day.

When doing a full cleanse you only need to eat fruits and veggies for about a week. Then you should see about incorporating lean protein and high fiber carbohydrates to your meals. All the while still staying away from foods that are high in fat and contain artificial ingredients. You can also flush out specific digestive systems like the liver. Green tea, dandelion root, milk thistle and burdock are all excellent at flushing the liver as well as improving its functions.

Vitamin C is also very important as the body will use Vitamin C to produce glutathione. Glutathione will block toxins from building up. Citrus fruits are a great source of Vitamin and you can also use Vitamin C supplements.

Exercise and peace of mind are important for a body cleanse detox and yoga and martial arts are recommended as they work both the body and the mind. Meditation can also be used to calm the mind. Stress reduction is important to cleanse your body. Start your diet off right with a body cleanse detox.
